The Organic Film League

About Us

A Minority-Owned Creative Studio Telling Richmond’s Stories With Intention

Organic Film League (O.F.L) is a Black-owned, minority-driven video production and photography company based in Richmond, Virginia. We create cinematic, story-centered visuals that highlight the voices, businesses, families, and communities that make our city unique.

We believe every story has power — and every community deserves to be seen with respect, quality, and authenticity.

Our mission is simple:

**To elevate real people with real stories.

To empower small businesses.
To honor our community.**

The O.F.L Vision

Where Film, Community, and Opportunity Meet

O.F.L isn’t just a production company — it’s a movement built on:

  • Representation: showing diverse businesses, families, and creatives in their full brilliance

  • Community empowerment: giving Richmond’s people a platform to shine

  • Access: providing high-quality visuals that small businesses can actually afford

  • Opportunity: building pathways for the next generation of Black and minority creatives

As we grow toward becoming S.W.A.M certified, we’re committed to partnering with local organizations, nonprofits, schools, city departments, and state agencies who want to work with a trusted minority-owned vendor rooted in the community they serve.

Meet the Founder:

Kahlil Ali — Filmmaker, Creative Director, Community Builder

O.F.L was founded by Kahlil Ali, a Richmond native with a passion for filmmaking, storytelling, and uplifting marginalized communities.

Kahlil created Organic Film League with one purpose in mind:

To bring cinematic-quality visuals to the people and businesses who are often overlooked.

As a Black entrepreneur, father, and creative, Kahlil understands the importance of representation — not just in front of the camera, but behind it.

His work reflects:

  • A deep connection to Richmond’s neighborhoods

  • A respect for family, culture, and heritage

  • A commitment to creating opportunity for young creatives

  • A desire to uplift minority-owned businesses and help them grow

Kahlil’s mission is to build a creative ecosystem where Black and minority storytellers can learn, thrive, and shape the visual identity of Richmond for years to come.

  • Foundations & nonprofits

This certification will strengthen our ability to bring authentic, minority-led creative storytelling to larger platforms — without losing our community-driven roots.

O.F.L is here to help you make that happen — one cinematic project at a time.
